The Common European Framework – how do we deal with its gaps?

Curriculum development, assessment of linguistic services, material development, educational standards – the Common European Framework for the past 15 years is considered an established framework to provide guidance and inspiration for different contexts of learning and teaching of foreign languages.
In practice, however, also limits the applicability Of the GER, and there are aspects which the GER does not (sufficiently) take into account in its present scales and theoretical explanations, such as the specifics of the high school language doctrine. The limitations and gaps need to be discussed for a constructive development both at the practical level and in terms of its theoretical foundation. …
